How this site works

Most "latest gadgets" sites are built on scraped retailer listings. That is how they get prices and specification tables — and it is also why those tables are so often wrong, since the scrape breaks quietly and nobody notices.

Where the data comes from

A scheduled job runs four times a day and reads RSS feeds published by manufacturers themselves. Newsroom feeds exist to be consumed, which means this needs nobody's permission and breaks nobody's terms. For each qualifying post we store three things: the headline, the link, and the date.

We do not copy article bodies, host manufacturer images, or reproduce press releases. Every entry links to the original announcement, because that is where the full story belongs.

What we deliberately do not publish

Prices. They vary by country, retailer, storage variant and week. A price that is wrong is worse than no price, and there is no source we could take one from legitimately.

Specification tables. Same reason. Anyone republishing full spec sheets for dozens of devices is copying them from somewhere, and the errors travel with them.

Where this is unreliable

Deciding which newsroom posts are device announcements is done by keyword matching, and it is wrong at the edges in both directions. It misses launches phrased unusually. It occasionally lets through a marketing post that mentions a product. It cannot tell a major flagship from a minor variant.

Coverage is also uneven by brand, and not because of editorial choice: several major manufacturers block automated access to their newsrooms or publish no usable feed. Their absence from this page reflects what is technically reachable, not what has launched.

This is why the page is described as launch coverage rather than as a complete or authoritative record of launches. If you need certainty about a device, follow the link to the manufacturer.

How fresh it is

The aggregator runs every six hours, and the front page shows when the feed was last updated. The site itself is rebuilt separately, so an entry can be a few hours newer at the source than here.
